police need help to track down the shooters, kelly mcpherson explains. >> reporter: police are looking for suspects that approached some boys, they left, and came back shooting. >> they hung out right there, and he hung right there. the other boy 15, all of them were good boys. one of them just graduated. probably going to college in the fall. and now he can't do nothing because something senseless. >> reporter: marsha, who's son was killed on the street says police need to do more. >> we're black, we're poor, we're in the ghetto but we need the same rights, i go to

certain neighborhoods that they do patrol. >> reporter: 16-year-old sean was shot in the head. he is still clinging on to life. the principal at his school says he was a good kid. >> who had great friends, who had positive relationships with the people. >> reporter: the school honored sean in the annual fashion show. >> we're going to celebrate sean johnson tonight. >> they know the shooting could turn deadly. >> we could sit back and say nothing, in essence what we're saying is, it's okay to do this. kill more of our kids. >> reporter: police describe his condition as grave and they also tell us that they have very few leads in this case. kelly mcpherson, wjz eyewitness

news. >> kelly, thank you. the congressman stokes is holding a conference tomorrow. he's also calling for more patrols. more than 232 people are still missing. joel brown reports for wjz from joplin. >> reporter: the tornado blasted greensburg indiana with hail that left holes. >> my husband he grabbed us, threw us in a closet. layed on top of us and all i could do is just pray. >> reporter: as bad as it seemed it appears no one in indiana or ohio was killed when several twistered touched down wednesday night. the storm system is moving east and forecasters say the worse is over. wrapping up a devastating week for the midwest. at least 136 deaths most of them from joplin, missouri. that number could rise because more than 200 people are still listed as missing, some where

of thousands in syrbia. he is accused of killing dozens of boys and men. he will be sent back to court for more questioning tomorrow. federal investigators raid a fredrick county mini storage and find an illegal narcotic being manufactured. an arrest in howard county led arguments to that storage facility and the investigation is ongoing. a child pornography investigation turns up something even more upsetting. tonight baltimore county police say a parkville man is under arrest charged with sexually

abusing someone with developmental disabilities. derek valcourt explains what police found on his computer. >> reporter: chestnut arrested for abusing a developmentally disabled adult man. >> devastating, they live right next door to me. >> right now it looks like he's been committing these crimes for quite some time. >> reporter: right now catholic charities refuses to make a statement. >> i'm shocked, i'm really shocked. >> reporter: it's so disturbing to people who live near the

recognized that, hotels, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues all look to benefit when people are in town spending money. >> you're going to have people staying in hotel rooms, it's not just two or three people. people are bringing their kids. that's meals and restaurants, that's drinks in bars and t- shirts and souvenirs. >> reporter: the maryland officer of sports management tells eyewitness news, the lacrosse final four brought in $14.9 million in 2010. this year the tournament will see an excess of 100,000 fans who will spend 15 to $18 million. >> i think it's great for the city. especially great for us business down here downtown. we love when they come in. they bring great money, is have a good time. it's great for baltimore in general. >> reporter: in front of raven stadium they are already setting up a very fun and

unit. police say the cause is still under investigation and charges may be filed against those at fault. tragedy at the start of fleet week in new york city. a visiting marine is struck and killed by a car. corporal steve jorgenson got out of cab and was hit trying to cross the highway. he died at the scene just 200 yards from his ship. the driver stopped and called police, he is not charged with any crime. the suspect arrested in the attack on a san francisco giants fan is yet to be charged with a crime. giovanni ramirez went through a line up and they continue to gather evidence. they are confident he is the person who viciously beat bryan stow outside of a stadium. a major warning tonight, if you own a pool your drainage may cause a danger.

the afternoon with all that heating and the sun. we're going to start seeing some storms here. we dropped down to a more pleasant 76. very light north winds at three. 91-66 this was the hottest day since last september by the way. 77 and 55 the averages are very pleasant. the record 94. only 3 degrees shy of that today. 41 back in 1967. 62 in oakland with shower activity. 64 cumberland, still very warm with no rain in the east. upper 70s to 81 in pax river. right now in the metro, low to mid- and upper 70s. light northerly winds. tomorrow they will start picking up again. southern coastal fog advisory. and a severe thunderstorms watch still in effect until midnight tonight. low pressure has been sitting over indiana with some cold air. with that sun interacting, that's what causing all these showers. that cool pool of air will move into the mountains tomorrow.

one baltimore city school is showing how they're helping the environment. they added rain barrels. it was a big pool party at the london zoo. they officially opened the penguin beach. the 80 penguins are from the southern hemisphere so they enjoy the sandy beach. that environment in store for humans. >> beaches,,,,,,
